During your Breast Thermogram:

· You will be placed in a private room for 15 minutes so your body can acclimate to room temperature. This creates a "Thermal Steady State".

· You will disrobe from the waist up during this time.

· You will sit on a swiveling stool in front of the infrared camera.

· Once acclimated, you will be asked to place your hands behind your head as the images are taken.

· There is no compression, physical contact or physical exam.

· The Thermographer will be viewing live thermal images on a computer screen.

· Thermal breast images are captured from the front, both sides,  bottom and at 45° angles to insure all the breast surfaces are scanned.

We provide our clients with the color palette as well as the inverted grayscale of each image. The grayscale is easier for the human eye to detect vascular patterns. We feel it is important to provide our clients and their health care professionals with both.

Before your breast exam:

· You cannot be sunburned or have a fever at the time of your exam.

· Avoid prolonged sun exposure for five days prior to the exam.

· You should avoid chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy,

analgesic creams or balm, magnets or poultice for 24 hours prior to your examination.
